FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Online registration opens for Footstock 2024 on Dec. 14, 2024 at 10am.

    Online registration closes at midnight on May 26th. Register before midnight, May 9th to confirm your race swag. Email footstockrwc@gmail.com for last-minute registration or find Meredith at Race Package Pick-Up on Saturday, May 31st.

  • You will find the course maps on the “Races” tab on our website. The 3k, 5k, 10k, 18k solo, 18k relay and Kids’ Triathlon (all age groups except the “smiley face” age group) begin at the East side of the parking lot in front of SLS Centre.

  • We’ll be ready for you on Saturday, May 31st between 4pm and 7pm, in the East lot at the SLS Centre.

    *You may pick up race packages for friends and relatives.

  • Yes! Our triathletes are welcome to wear life-jackets, “floaties”, swim assists (“puddle jumpers”) and / or any other flotation device during their swim portion of triathlon. Flutter boards may also be used. For the bike section: TRAINING WHEELS and STRIDER BIKES are WELCOME.

  • Please pick up your bike via the south-west access to the transition area and only when volunteers indicate that it is safe for you to do so. Given the staggered heat start times, we expect it to be possible to collect athlete bicycles immediately after their race. There will be a five-minute period when this will be possible. Once the next heat has started, athletes will have to wait until that heat is finished before entering transition to collect their bike and belongings.

  • Headphones are not allowed on the race course. In accordance with our insurance policy, participants must be able to hear course marshals and other runners during the event.

  • Strollers are allowed in Footstock running races. Participants pushing strollers are asked to seed themselves at the back of the pack for the race start and to be mindful of runners on their way back to the finish line.

  • Sorry, no refunds! Footstock is put on by the Cochrane Run Foundation, a not-for-profit organization. The registration fees collected are used for operational costs like timing services, insurance, tent rentals, portable toilets, medals, t-shirts, food and much more.

    *It is possible to transfer your race bib to another racer via the Race Roster Participant Dashboard.

  • Participants in our running races are invited to enjoy a Stampede Caravan Pancake Breakfast after the race. Breakfast will be served between 8am and 11am.

    Participants in the kids’ triathlon are invited to enjoy a Tim Hortons sandwich after completing the triathlon.

  • Please understand that runners and spectators may not bring their dogs into the Footstock Festival Area. Runners should not bring their dogs on the race course.
